Description:
In this role, you will:
- Assist in the development of PA Program guidance documents and tools when needed
- Create/provide training aids, instructor guides, student manuals, and web-based training for PA course instruction
- Provide technical, technical editing, graphic development, and formatting for PA documents
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field and 5 years of experience in a related field; OR 10 years of experience in graphic design or in a related field
- Experience with graphics creation
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in recovery arena
- An adult learning background and experience
- 1-2 years of experience providing training support
- The ability to obtain and maintain FEMA Public Trust
- A United States Citizenship
- The ability to maintain FEMA specific trainings
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills, excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ability to deploy to any location in zone 2 with a 24–48-hour notice after Task Order Award
- Zone 2 includes Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming
- The ability to go on 6–12-month deployments at a minimum
- Experience and comfortability using a smart phone
- The ability to work independently, in a team environment and under stressful conditions with tight deadlines
Additional desired experience and skills:
- 5 years minimum of prior Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) experience
- Knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program/Policy
- Trained in the Public Assistance delivery model preferred
- Active FEMA badge
