Description:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Actively engage students in the learning process
- Maintain ethical and professional behavior
- Maintain knowledge of and adherence to the policies and procedures contained in the TSUS and LIT Policies and Procedures Manual
- Participate in college service, which may include, committee work and advising and/or tutoring students
- Teach classes during the fall, spring, and summer semesters as required by the department (might include day, evening, weekend, and Early College High School/dual credit); including online courses
- Provide mentorship to dual credit partners/mentees
- Attend Teaching and Learning Center sessions to enhance teaching skills
- Stay abreast of national matters and trends in education
- Assist in the development of curriculum as needed.
- Perform other related duties, as required
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to: remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- An Associate degree in a related field from a regionally accredited college
- Two years of work experience in graphic design, web design or related field
- Knowledge of teaching methodologies/pedagogical strategies
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Possess good time management skills
