Description:
Works with and advises principal investigators (PIs) regarding grant applications; assists with administrative portions of applications; communicates with sub- recipients at other institutions, budget and budget justification; submit proposals to sponsors via electronic systems and maintains accurate records and files.
Manages project lifecycle: reconcile budgets, forecast expenditures, complete and submit annual progress reports (financial), and, where applicable, track cost-share, project extension requests, and payments and stipends for tuition. Provide monthly financial statements to the PIs and responds to questions; collaborate with Sponsored Research staff and ensures compliance with federal, state, university, and sponsor regulations and guidelines; and considers the best interests of the College, University, and Sponsor when making decisions.
Coordinates with support staff for the project funder personnel appointments, and requests for purchasing and travel; verify that business transactions are correctly entered and allocated in OMNI, plans and reviews faculty effort and assists with FACET effort reporting/approval processes; and ensure that project task requests are completed in a timely manner.
Maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, colleagues, government, and community members. Assist with the preparation of official OOR policies and information dissemination; assist with event planning (CEHHS research conference); and other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Research or Associate Dean for Research.
