Description:
The Closed-Loop Monetization Product Team is responsible for the TikTok Shop advertising solution, which helps TikTok Shop merchants grow their business on TikTok. Product Marketing Managers are part of the vertical product team.
TikTok Shop is an innovative new shopping feature that enables merchants, brands, and creators to showcase and sell products directly on TikTok through in-feed videos, LIVEs, the product showcase tab, and the shopping center (2nd tab of the TikTok app). TikTok Shop is now available in South East Asia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the roll-out and scaling of the TikTok Shop ads solution in North America ("go-to-market")
- Work together with RDs, PMs, as well as multiple core XFN teams like Platform and Data Science team to improve the Shop Ads product solution, maximizing for revenue and user friendliness of the product. Use the following core, avenues to inform decisions:
1. Data
2. Client insights through Sales and direct interaction with clients
3. Market insights, primarily from competing adjacent products
4. Overall understanding of the TikTok Shop and Shop Ads ecosystem, built up through the above
- Prioritise and distill data insights, client, and market intelligence to shape future advertising products for the US market
- Work with the Data Science Team to ensure that we are properly analyzing the US markets, particularly in regards to Shop Ads client data
- Work with the SMB Growth team to improve the user experience and growth funnel of the Shop Ads self-serve product in the US
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree
- 5+ years of work experience in either of the two:
1. Tech product or operations (PM, PMM, Ops) on revenue/core user metrics carrying product
2. Performance and data driven generalist roles (top tier Investment Banking and Consultant)
- Experience in Ecommerce and/or Performance Ads. If no direct work experience in either, genuine interest in both required. For example, interest in the product logic of an ecommerce app; interest and general understanding of an eCPM focused monetization model. This is a special product and we expect people to be excited about it.
- Data: experience and interest in working with data daily to inform decisions.
- Strong interest in product details, such as buttons and module designs Ads Manager; step-by-step details of an onboarding flow; authorization logic when managing a TikTok Shop across Shop ID(s), Advertiser ID(s), owned TT account(s), related TT account(s)
- Driven by data and user experience. When tackling a problem, using data to understand the problem and always considering a product from the perspective of a user.
- Able to work within a complex environment with confidence. Using data and product curiosity to turn yourself into an expert that can own and drive an agenda across many stakeholders.
- Ideally, being able to efficiently navigate the world of Sales and RDs/PMs at the same time
