Global Marketing Strategy

 

Description:

As the Global Marketing Strategy & Planning Manager, you are responsible for leading and driving the GBU commercial and marketing strategic planning processes (including setting frameworks, timelines and KPIs) working closely with senior management in Global Marketing & Experience organization and Global Business Units (GBUs).

In this capacity, you will coordination and management of the annual strategy development cycle and drive deep-dive strategic analysis / projects as identified by the senior management. You will leverage insights on macro-economic and industry trends, and internal business data to support the strategy development. The overall objective is to help the business realize sustainable commercial growth and profit performance.

Day To Day

Commercial Strategy & Transformation Areas
 

  • Work closely with Corporate Strategy Office and Finance on the Commercial Strategic Clock and ensure timely completion of strategy development, budgeting process, portfolio optimization process, organizational alignment, and business reviews
  • Coordinate and manage the annual GBU 5-Year Commercial Strategic Plans working closely with GBU Presidents, Strategic Marketers and CFOs
  • Develop strategy frameworks / templates and provide clear guidelines, processes, and best practices to support commercial strategic planning process
  • Collaborate with marketing intelligence and customer interactions on input for the development of commercial strategic plans
  • Proactively share insights and make recommendation on cross GBU initiatives and priorities that require CCO attention
  • Work with Transformation Area leads to develop charters and monitor progress
  • Manage timely delivery consolidated reporting on the status of CCO transformation areas for review by CCO MT and Boards
     

Marketing Strategy
 

  • Develop and drive a streamlined process for translating of GBU commercial strategies into effective marketing strategy and execution plans across GBUs and regions/markets working closely
  • Develop strategy frameworks / templates and provide clear guidelines, processes, and best practices to support marketing planning process
  • Work closely with marketing leadership to identifying and prioritizing the right marketing strategies to deliver business impact
  • Collaborate with marketing intelligence and customer interactions on input for the development of marketing strategy and execution plans
  • Monitor and reports on performance of implemented marketing strategies and KPIs
  • Facilitate process for alignment and buy-in of marketing strategy plans among key stakeholders
  • Lead identified deep-dive strategic initiatives/OKRs that are critical to GM&E such as segmentation, distribution strategy, etc.

Essentials
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
  • At least 6 years of experience in a strategic marketing, strategy consulting or project management role in a global organization
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies, channels, and technologies
  • Strong commitment and responsibility in ensuring both project deliverables and results are achieved
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence senior leaders and understand needs of key stakeholders
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to summarize complex matters in simple and clear terms
