Global Key Account Manager

 

Description:

We are looking for a professional like you who will be the Global Key Account Manager for Schlumberger’s sales and business development and leadership of the entire “virtual” account team, as well as the development and implementation of the account strategy.

You will manage key customer relationships at corporate headquarters and affiliate locations globally and identify new revenue opportunities globally with special emphasis on those in North America, with full accountability.

As a Global Key Account Manager, you create chemistry by…

  • Contributing to annual sales plan for the key account; developing and implementing account strategies to achieve sales and growth targets.
  • Evaluating business opportunities, developing specific customer value propositions and plans for implementation, and selling value-added solutions.
  • Coordinating BASF sales efforts for the account globally to develop and negotiate customer contracts as necessary.
  • Establishing key relationships with customer’s business segments globally, to assist the customer sales team in product approvals, project bids, and new product introductions.
  • Being point-of-contact for various topics including contract negotiations, joint development, global bids, tolling (make-vs-buy), sustainability, and local content.
  • Connecting various parts of the customer’s organization as necessary to leverage full potential of BASF offerings, as well as coordinating with internal stakeholders as necessary to meet customer needs.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Your formula for success…

  • Having earned a bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or Business Administration
  • Experience in Key Account Management, Sales or related customer facing experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Account planning/strategy and Value Chains
  • Having strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to identify business opportunities
  • Excellence in communication, influencing and presentation skills
  • Having strong analytical and organizational skills
