Geotechnical Department Manager

 

Description:

Responsible for the overall management of a profit center including:

  • Conducts planning, growth, profitability, cost control, employee development, quality control, and client relations within Geotechnical department.
  • Develops business and conducts collections activities.
  • Leads employees to achieve optimal quality, safety, and production.
  • Provides training and guidance to employees related to their job duties.
  • Enforces company policies and procedures.
  • Oversees management of internal quality program and accreditation.
  • Manages recruitment, hiring and onboarding process.
  • Monitors progress towards Geotechnical department goals.
  • Performs project management related duties.
  • Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is required
  • 5+ years' experience in geotechnical consulting and management is required
  • Active Engineer in the Texas Market is required
  • Texas PE Required
  • Texas GE preferred
  • Experience with seismic hazards and analyses required
