Job Title: General Manager - Holiday Inn Express (63 Rooms)
Location: Selma, Al
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager for our select service hotel, which features 63 guest rooms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and driving financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Management: Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Guest Relations: Foster a welcoming environment by addressing guest inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
• Financial Oversight: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Monitor revenue and expenses to achieve profitability targets.
• Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise hotel staff. Promote a positive work culture, providing ongoing coaching and performance assessments.
• Sales and Marketing: Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue. Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the hotel and enhance its online presence.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and local laws. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the property.
• Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community members to enhance the hotel's reputation and visibility.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a select service hotel.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial management, and guest service principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
