Duties

  • You will serve as a project engineer responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects.
  • You will manage the project, schedule, scope, and budget for military construction (MILCON) projects and operations and maintenance (OM)-funded special projects from planning through constructions and initial operations.
  • You will provide engineering and construction advice, planning support, engineering design and cost estimation; and other engineering support for in-house construction, maintenance, renovation, and repair to support operational requirements.
  • You will conduct engineering studies in the various areas of facility design and construction for the command.
  • You will develop and evaluate new technologies in support of critical system infrastructure.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is subject to random counterintelligence scope polygraph examinations.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must achieve and maintain all command required certifications.
  • You will be required to report to the command when requested.
  • You will be required to travel on military or civilian aircraft and waterbone craft, deploy onboard ships, or serve at remote sites as required.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You may be exposed to hazardous or hostile environments and may be authorized special/danger pay as provided by the Department of state, the Office of Personnel Management, or other agency regulations.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce position that requires an Engineering and Technical Management, Practitioner acquisition certification. The incumbent has 60 months to earn this certification in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.66.
