Gas Engineering Intern
Project Description:
- Project activities and responsibilities could include assistant project management, pipeline engineering, data cleanup, federal code verification, documentation preparation, and other activities as required.
- Work with the Engineering staff to support the Transmission Control Center. Work as an entry level engineering analyst doing tasks that support the tools, programs, and databases used to perform various operational tasks such as outage coordination, powerflow studies, power system monitoring, and assist with operator training. Through practical operations experience and mentoring, a successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills.
- This will be a summer opportunity with the potential to extend into a school semester. The candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer. If the intern works during the school year, their hours should be part-time.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering or related program, studying areas such as electrical, construction management, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering.
- Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- Project Management would be appropriate
- Any construction, field work or project management experience would be good.
