Secures financial resources for the Parks and Recreation Department primarily through meeting and working with donors and prospects to accomplish objectives in the form of annual giving.
Manages project planning and logistics for the department’s fundraising, development initiatives to include conservancies and trusts, department sponsorships and naming rights.
Oversees and executes campaigns.
Applies for grants.
Increases community awareness.
Communicates the department’s needs to drive the short-term and long-term financial development goals.
Executes and analyzes the performance of fundraising appeals and donor communications.
Creates a system to measure the team’s success.
Implements strategies to identify, qualify and nurture prospective donors, and deepen relationships with existing donors.
Coordinates and executes grant writing proposals for the organization, including identifying opportunities, proposal writing and reporting requirements.
Builds relationships in the community to further the KC Parks brand.
Oversees the writing and editing efforts for the KC Parks program campaigns.
