What you will do : Our Technology Solutions Group is a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with exciting changes on the horizon under new senior leadership. We are looking for you to build out scalable applications to support our Compliance, Finance, Data Governance, Operational Risk, and Human Resources teams. You will need to have in-depth technical knowledge of Java Spring Boot and SQL and should feel comfortable working within large internal and external data sets. This position is performed in a hybrid manner with a mix of work performed from our office in Newark, NJ and remotely. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees meet with their team in the office on set days of the week and can work remotely the remainder of the week. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration and may be required during group specific events (Town Halls, etc.

What You Can Expect

  • Work with the solution lead, product manager, and other senior developers in assessing business needs and transforming them into scalable technology solutions.
  • Upgrade our legacy applications with the latest technologies such as AWS etc.
  • Write effective, scalable codes.
  • Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance.
  • Integrate user-facing elements into applications with sound security measures.
  • Test and debug programs.
  • Improve functionality of existing systems.

What You Will Bring

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in building applications and APIs using Python programming language, frameworks, libraries, and packages.
  • Knowledge of Java enterprise development using Spring Boot, Spring Framework and REST APIs is a plus.
  • Expertise in writing and testing scalable code, debugging programs, and integrating applications with third-party web services.
  • Relational database experience in Microsoft SQL server and PostgreSQL.
  • Expertise in monitoring and supporting business critical processes and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and offer alternatives both independently and within teams.
  • Experience with AWS Services including but not limited to S3/Glue/Lambdas is a plus.
  • Experience in configuring, supporting and upgrading vendor software is a plus.
  • Information technology, Microsoft Windows, Firewalls, hybrid architectures, Autosys and Active Directory skillset is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and supporting tools is a plus.
  • Exposure to finance, Statistics and economics related field is a plus.
