Founding Software Engineer

As a Founding Engineer, you'll be responsible for shaping the core infrastructure of a tax-focused AI platform that will revolutionize the way global companies manage tax compliance. You'll work closely with the CEO and industry experts to implement AI solutions that streamline manual processes in tax legislation and rate monitoring. 🛠️ This role offers significant ownership, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage environment. 💼

What You’ll Do:

• 🤝 Collaborate with the CEO and leading tax experts to integrate cutting-edge AI, such as LLMs, into tax research processes.
• 🏗️ Architect systems to automatically collect and monitor global tax data, ensuring the platform stays updated with ever-changing tax laws.
• 🔍 Develop tools that leverage AI to identify and process authoritative tax legislation from around the world.
• 🌐 Build out the infrastructure to support expansion into additional compliance areas, including withholding tax and e-invoicing.

What we're looking for:

• Strong full-stack software engineering experience (Django/Python, Next.js/React). 🌟
• A proven track record in early-stage startups and a desire to take ownership of key projects. 🎯
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work in person in their San Francisco office. ✨
