Description:
The Fleet Manager oversees fleet operations for Brock, helping the organization run efficiently, safely and in compliance with laws and regulations. This position will direct and manage the costs of the vehicles owned or leased by the organization and will play a role in creating and implementing policies based on company and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Promote, demonstrate and instill Brock’s Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business.
- Coordinate sourcing and procurement activities for company vehicles, defines specifications and make purchase decisions based on optimal quality and price.
- Responsible for proper inspection, registration, and titling of all company vehicles.
- Coordinate and negotiates fleet maintenance and management contracts.
- Ensure compliance with both company and employee lease vehicle policies, reports on discrepancies and variations to policy.
- Analyze repair costs to control expenditures and ensures sound decision making on repair versus disposal.
- Lead the procurement and disposal of all company vehicles.
- Regular assessment, mentoring, and development of personnel. Responsible for personnel development including skill level assessments, performance management and competency assessment for all functions within the associated organization.
- Develop and maintains KPI and metric reporting for distribution to executive and regional leadership.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal policies and program to enhance DOT / FMSCA compliance and operational efficiency, ensure the tracking of DOT violations, inspections, and citations.
- Support the procurement of new vehicles and assist with the identification, management and disposition of surplus or obsolete assets.
- Develop and maintains KPI and metric reporting for distribution to executive and regional leadership.
- Active participant in budget development and implementation.
- Formulate new policies, programs, and procedures related to the fleet department.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies that maximize vehicle utilization.
- Develop and implement inventory strategies to ensure asset accountability.
- Evaluate purchase versus 3rd party rental decisions based on capital requirements.
- Maximize fuel economy and manage the fuel card usage.
- Active participant in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for the Asset Management organization.
- Regular assessment, mentoring, and development of fleet personnel.
- Manage telematics for all company vehicles. This includes, data collection, enforcement of company policies (speeding violations, seatbelt use, etc.), granting access to supervising personnel.

- Primarily office based with some field and outdoor requirements
- Working indoors in an office environment
- Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment is necessary.
- Travel as required

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 (+) years’ experience in fleet operations or related field
- 4 (+) years’ experience in managerial or supervisory role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products required
- Experience with CGC, BDMS, or other ERP system preferable
