Financial Management Analyst

Description:

Duties

• Monitors a variety of financial management and statistical trends and prepares appropriate analytical reports for the mission area/product line manager on cost, status of funds, expenses and obligations.
• Develops recommendations involving substantive impacts on policies, procedures, systems, and operations of the mission area/product and DFAS.
• Performs analysis on complex financial problems within the product line and prepares staff papers to support recommendations, solutions, and taskings.
• Coordinates with site budget teams, mission area managers, peers, and lead to validate work counts, work years, and dollar requirements. Resolves issues with questionable data.
• Provides policy interpretations and functional recommendations to mission area managers/site budget teams on diverse financial management issues.
• Coordinates and submits the work count and budget formulation submissions for mission area/product line.
