Description:
As a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST at the GS-0501-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Provides resource management support to the combatant commanders, world-wide; JS Directorates; military departments; and defense-wide agencies.
- Serves as an advisor to management on financial and budgetary issues and analyses.
- Lead efforts that pertain to the planning, programming, formulating, presenting, and justifying of accounting records, budgetary reports, and other related-financial-related data.
- Prepares detailed reports and financial data used to support the annual congressional budget justifications.
- Reviews and analyzes resource management programs an systems for accuracy and compliance with federal and DoD regulations.
- Operates and monitors established JS Comptroller financial system (DAI) to ensure transactions are coded and entered in a format appropriate to the United States Standard General Ledger and standard financial information structure.
- Ensures JS Comptroller office business practices comply with applicable fiscal law, financial management regulations, DoD directives, chairman of the Joint chiefs of Staff instructions, and JS instructions.
