Description:
The position provides accounting and finance services in support of business objectives. This role manages multiple facets of finance and reporting. This is inclusive of supporting and managing the requirements of government projects, forecasting help to lead the management of larger customers, as well as supporting company objectives relative to monthly reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to all of the following:
- Lead role in defining the financial accuracy of invoicing for large customers as well as government entities, this includes creating/defining supporting documents, reviewing job postings for accuracy and inclusion in reporting
- Perform program analysis associated with contract and customer spending as required
- Perform a more active role in the creation of company and departmental budgets and associated forecasts
- Contribute to departmental planning and goal setting
- Support of monthly financial reporting and report distribution
- Support controller in the establishment of indirect rate calculations and submission of provisional and finalized rates
- Maintain pricing sheets in support of labor rate calculations
- Support general ledger reconciliation process as required for company closes both annually and monthly
- General ledger entry processing and creation
- Support maintaining company related system master data
- Company and departmental variance analysis relative to budget and forecast as required
- Help to coordinate company monthly and annual closes as well as forecasts across departments
- Audit support / Sarbanes Oxley
- Continuous evaluation of existing processes and procedures and role in implementing improvements
- Special projects as required by management and leadership personnel
- Provide additional support and back up for all accounting and finance areas as required by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in accounting or finance
- +3-5 years equivalent experience
- Experience working in a project management or engineering environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage their workload to achieve and meet important deadlines
- Be a team player, reliable, with a strong work ethic
- Manufacturing experience preferred
