Description:
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to primarily focus on optimizing manufacturing, including providing regular support to the COO and partnering with all levels within the operations organization. A successful candidate will also work on various projects supporting corporate initiatives, allowing for broad exposure to all areas of the business, direct access to the CFO and the executive team, and significant opportunity for career growth.
As a high visibility member of a collaborate and driven finance organization, this position will require someone with high personal and professional values, strong leadership skills, and a desire to learn and grow with the company.
Responsibilities
- Business Partnering – Become a subject matter expert on costs to manufacture and partnering with manufacturing management, finance counterparts, and others to advise and help optimize results
- Forecasting – Working with operations management, update forecasts for production, manufacturing overhead, and related capital/working capital requirements. This includes documenting assumptions, providing variance analysis, and identifying opportunities and risks for managerial review
- Budget Management – Analyze spending and manufacturing variances to provide actionable information for budget management. Provide recommendations to improve profitability and performance, including modeling scenarios to support business decisions
- Financial Reporting - Prepare and review reporting packages for accuracy and to provide additional insight to help teams run their operations more effectively. This could include recasting results so that information is reported in a like way for comparability
- Reporting Development – Create dashboards and other automated reporting to provide visibility to leaders and decision makers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance organization
- Understanding of US GAAP principles and financial statements
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with ERP systems and large data sets
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
