Nextracker is currently hiring a Finance Director, Production Planning at our Fremont office.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Financial Planning and Analysis partner to the Operations team
  • Track project’s budgets and ensure the system of record (NetSuite) is updated
  • Forecast projects’ revenue and cost
  • Analyze and explain forecast to actuals variance
  • Analyze and explain week to week budget variances
  • Manage controls related to percentage of completion revenue recognition and project’s accruals
  • Participate in month-end closing tasks, such as calculation of 606 entries, handling freight accruals, analyzing accounts, and proposing journal entries.\
  • Work closely with Operations to find and propose cost improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and improve processes and systems to support project budgeting and reporting
  • Lead an international team, oversee their development, manage performance, and provide mentorship
  • Advise divisional and financial management on all financial matters, with a focus on Project Profit & Loss (P&L)
     

Key Requirements
 

  • Proven experience as a Director or above in leading a multicultural team, guiding teams to achieve success in forecasting and reporting.
  • Over 15 years experience in infrastructure businesses with a focus on construction, preferably within the energy and/or solar industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees such as an MBA and certifications like CPA or CMA are preferred.
  • Successful track record in large, multifunctional projects, collaborating closely with project management, commercial management, project controls, procurement, subcontracts, and legal teams.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems like NetSuite, as well as budgeting tools such as Hyperion and Anaplan
  • Highly skilled in advanced financial modeling and data mining using tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Possess excellent commercial acumen, organizational skills, and the capability to drive projects to completion. Hands-on approach to working across the organization is essential.
  • Demonstrate strong abilities in engaging and influencing teams across a business, with proven leadership in multi-site organizations.
  • Basic knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP and experience in POC revenue recognition implementation
  • Bring critical experience in day-to-day financial operations, encompassing both technical and leadership aspects.
