Finance And Business Operations Analyst

Description:

The Finance and Business Operations Analyst ensures University Advancement finance (including, but not limited to, purchase requisitions, internal orders and transfers, procurement card transactions, monthly and year-end reporting) tasks and responsibilities are appropriately and properly processed and recorded in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The candidate will work with the Director of Finance and Business Operations and the Fiscal Officer to ensure adequate internal controls are installed and that substantiating documentation meets or exceeds internal and external audits.

Required Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Two years professional experience in cash management and reporting including account reconciliation, interpretation of financial data, and creation of annual budgets.
• A demonstrated ability to engage and effectively communicate with diverse audiences

Preferred Job Qualifications

• Experience with current University systems: Kuali Financial System a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an affinity for learning new technology
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze data, with attention to detail
• Ability to problem solve and exercise initiative and independent judgement
• Understanding of intermediate accounting concepts and ability to generate, review, verify and reconcile financial reports and systems
• Understands and demonstrates importance of managing multiple priorities, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines and time management skills
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in a customer service and support environment, working with both internal and external constituents
