Field Service Technician

Description:

Orion Talent is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide expert technical support, equipment installation, and troubleshooting across the U.S. and Americas. This is a high-paying role offering extensive travel opportunities (up to 95% travel, home on weekends) and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate has strong electro-mechanical skills and enjoys hands-on problem-solving in an industrial automation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Equipment Installation & Maintenance:

• Install, commission, and maintain advanced industrial equipment at customer sites.

• Ensure optimal equipment performance through expert diagnostics and repairs.

✅ Technical Troubleshooting & Support:

• Identify and resolve electro-mechanical issues using wiring diagrams and circuit tracking.

• Work with multimeters, servos, motors, and automation systems to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.

✅ Customer Training & Communication:

• Train customers on proper use and maintenance of industrial equipment.

• Communicate technical issues effectively with internal teams and clients.

✅ Extensive Travel Requirements:

• Travel up to 95% of the time across the U.S. and Americas (home on weekends).

• Must have or be able to obtain a passport for international assignments.

Qualifications & Experience:

📌 Required:
✔ Strong electro-mechanical skills (reading wiring diagrams, circuit tracking, servos, motors).
✔ Hands-on experience with multimeters, component-level repair, and automation systems.
✔ Ability to travel extensively (up to 95%).
✔ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

📌 Preferred:
✔ Experience in industrial automation and field service engineering.
✔ Previous work in electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
