Qualifications:
- Facilities management and/or project management experience
- Familiarity with NYC Department of Buildings including annual inspections and permits
- Experience with or willing to learn about the special requirements of maintenance and repairs on historical property Understanding the organizational needs of the campus maintenance calendar
- Hands-on handyman skills are a plus
Facilities management responsibilities:
- Oversees weekly custodial functions for all areas of the “campus”; ensures that all facilities are clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures
- Manages and reviews service contracts, necessary permits, and associated estimates/invoices
- Supervises and checks completed work by vendors and contractors
- Executes event set-up and break down with pre & post cleaning (Approximately 0-3 events per month)
- Is on call to respond to facility-related emergencies and address them in a timely manner
- Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly for the safety of the facilities and employees
