Description:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Animal Care**:
- Feed and water tarantulas according to their specific needs.
- Clean and maintain enclosures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for the animals.
- Monitor the health and behavior of tarantulas, reporting any issues to the Store Manager.
- Assist in the breeding and handling of tarantulas as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of feeding, cleaning, and health checks.
2. **Store Cleanliness**:
- Ensure all areas of the store, including display cases and customer areas, are clean and well-maintained.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling according to store policies.
- Perform regular inventory checks and restock supplies as necessary.
3. **Customer Assistance**:
- Greet and assist visitors, providing information about tarantula care, species characteristics, and product recommendations.
- Conduct educational demonstrations and workshops for customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
4. **Retail Responsibilities**:
- Assist with visual merchandising and display setups to attract customers and enhance their shopping experience.
- Participate in promotional activities and store events.
- Maintain knowledge of current products, promotions, and industry trends.
- Support the team in achieving sales targets and store goals.
**Qualifications**:
- Passion for and knowledge of tarantulas and other exotic pets.
- Experience in animal care, particularly with arachnids, is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Retail experience is a plus.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to lift and move heavy enclosures and supplies.
- Comfortable handling and working with tarantulas and other exotic pets.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
