Manages the planning and implementation of multiple and complex exhibition projects from conception to realization through resolution.
Leads project teams and manages project schedules across the museum, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met and that information is shared in a timely manner.
Oversees and regularly updates the museum’s exhibition calendar and sets the agenda for exhibition meetings.
Liaises with curators, artists, couriers, and contractors to realize the timely completion of exhibition-related work.
Develops detailed budgets for exhibition projects, including researching project requirements in consultation with curatorial and collections colleagues, external suppliers, and events staff.
Works with HoMA Registrar to negotiate and manage artist agreements, exhibition contracts, and loan agreements.
Ensures continued compliance with all contractual stipulations such as transportations schedules, sponsorship arrangements, fee payments, image usages, credit lines, and final reports.
Participates in the development, revision, implementation, and communication of museum and departmental policies, procedures, and documentation.
Keeps current with issues, best practices, and standards of the museum profession; conforms to professional ethical standards for the museum and the collections field.
Attends and participates in professionally relevant meetings and conferences.
As necessary, assists colleagues in the development of government grants and other potential funding proposals.
Acts as a resource to front of house staff to communicate schedules, policies, procedures, and events related to exhibitions.
