Description:
The Facilities Exhibit Maintenance Supervisor is an integral part of the Facility Planning & Operations management team supervising exhibit, building, and grounds maintenance staff. The Facilities Exhibit Maintenance Supervisor must have proven supervisory skills. Reports to Facilities Exhibit Maintenance Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises all aspects of daily exhibit, building, and grounds maintenance, including assignment of work tasks, along with quality and quantity of work
Responsible for estimating and ordering materials and supplies required in the maintenance of exhibits, building and grounds
Interfaces with Facilities operations manager regarding Facilities maintenance labor assistance and departmental issues
Tracks pest monitoring in museum exhibits
Tracks exhibit case humidity readings and making them available to exhibit conservator
Along with manager, oversees exterior banner installs, take-downs, and maintenance
Oversees care and feeding of museum livestock along with aquarium and equipment maintenance
May be required to take part in Craftsperson(s) interview process
Evaluates staff and takes part in the review process
Part of the team responsible for the Facility Planning and Operations safety program and procedures
Performs duties and other tasks as assigned by manager or director and may be assigned other small projects as needed
Qualifications:
BA or equivalent with 5 years of museum facilities and/or exhibit maintenance experience or a combination of a minimum of 10 years related experience with training essential to the successful performance of the responsibilities to the position
