Description:

At the same time, the candidate is required to drive transformational change in global capex and NASC sourcing activities, including managing diverse business needs and services (including fully outsourced to hybrid models), significant change management issues and language/cultural differences across various regions and countries. It is also important for the candidate to demonstrate knowledge of leading-edge capabilities in the capex and supply chain arena. This role collaborates with stakeholders to ensure ELC implements the optimal supply solutions to support ELC Supply Chain Strategy.
They are expected to build the talent base in the global capex and NASC procurement organization, further developing internal talent and attracting additional world class competencies to assemble a team capable of driving efficient operations of the function. This role will have direct leadership responsibilities for 3 team members in the global capex and regional NASC team, with potential future additions of 6 to 10 direct reports.
Reporting to the Global VP Indirect Procurement, the role is a member of the IPLT and also contributes to the wider development of the global procurement evolution.

Strategy and Sourcing Delivery Globally and Regionally

  • Interpreting the global capex and North America Supply Chain ELC strategy, develop global capex and North America Supply Chain Procurement strategy aligned and endorsed by stakeholders, Global VP Indirect Procurement, and other functional leaders (as needed).
  • Build the global/regional category FY plan and deliver on it with global/regional and affiliate resource support
  • Deliver year on year 4-5% cost reduction in the category. Delivery will be through a mix of OPEX, COGS, and capex.
  • Shape and lead RFX process for global capex sourcing in addition to NA facilities management, fulfillment, and distribution spend. Ensure alignment with key stakeholders on approach and desired outcome.
  • Ensure category contract compliance globally and in the regions
  • Lead Supplier risk mitigation both globally and regionally (NA) with key stakeholders’ alignment
  • Identifying new opportunities to meet business needs and cultivating supplier relationships
  • Contribute to company-wide responsible sourcing targets; including I&D (inclusion & diversity) and sustainability metrics (e.g. carbon emission)

Supply Chain Stakeholder & vendor collaboration

  • Manage key JVC/strategic partnerships and coordinate annual T2T meetings where needed
  • Review the existing categories and subcategories, analyzing contracts and buying processes end to end to identify what works well and where opportunities exist.
  • Clarify and document stakeholder needs
  • On repeat spend and projects, develop a range of options, costs, and benefits & clear recommendations
  • Seek buy-in and approval from the Global VP Indirect Procurement and the Supply Chain leadership team
  • Seek buy-in from the wider Supply Chain /Business Partners across various regions
  • Point of escalation in resolving supplier quality, cost, and service issues globally and regionally

Contribute to IP functional development, manage, coach, and develop team

  • Support the Global VP Indirect Procurement in developing the function
  • Provide feedback to IP personnel globally and across the region on input on Supply Chain projects and initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/University Degree, Procurement and or Supply Chain. Engineering or technical background is advantageous
  • 10 years
  • 30% travel
  • Demonstrate a depth of understanding in North America supply chain, with focus on facilities management, fulfillment, distribution, etc.
  • Expertise in procurement of global capex goods and services on a multi-regional and global scale
  • Skilled at interpreting business requirements and developing solutions, stakeholder engagement
  • Expert in vendor management, including joint value creation and joint business planning
  • Analytical & strong presentation skills, including intermediate use of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in ERP technology, preferably SAP ECC, SAP SRM, and Ariba Sourcing and Contracts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and team leadership are mandatory for this role
  • Candidate needs to possess a sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure (high probability of additional workload based on changing dynamics of the business)
  • Must have previous experience and knowledge in working towards corporate sustainability goals
