Description:

Primary Duties:

  • Serves as the frontline agent on behalf of the HMCC for the rental program, to include being the HMCC’s primary point of contact with potential and current rental clients.
  • Engages in market research of competing venues and services.
  • Monitors the rates for current and alternative contractors retained by HMCC for event services.
  • Provides prompt responses to questions from potential and current rental clients, whether received by email, phone, standard mail, or in-person.
  • Schedules and leads tours of the HMCC facility for potential and current rental clients.
  • Performs records management tasks in accordance with HMCC policies, to include prompt filing of contract and payment documents.
  • Clearly and concisely communicates contracted client requirements with the Executive Director and Event Supervisors.
  • Enforces health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborates with HMCC leadership and senior HMCC staff on event planning.
  • Performs facility opening and closing procedures.
  • Engages in professional conduct consistent with the HMCC mission, vision, and values, as set by HMCC Board of Directors

Secondary Duties:

  • In the event that an Event Supervisor is not available, be prepared to:

1. Provide basic technology setup for events, to include standard audio (e.g. microphones, music via Bluetooth) and visual (e.g. PowerPoint, Blu-Ray, DVD) components.
2. Supervise/monitor execution of scheduled events.
3. Serve as the HMCC’s on-site point of contact at scheduled events.
4. Perform setup(s) and cleanup, as planned for scheduled events.
5. Monitor exhibits and facility during scheduled hours.
6. Engage guests during their HMCC visit.
7. Maintain an accurate count of HMCC guests during scheduled hours.
8. Process electronic and cash sales transactions.

  • Provide operational support of HMCC, as assigned by the Executive Director and consistent with the HMCC mission and vision, as set by HMCC Board of Directors.

Management: Reports to the Executive Director.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 18 years old.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive products.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Daily access to communication (email and phone).
  • Meet requirements of all HMCC employees, to include successfully passing a background investigation.
