Description:
Kohler Co., a global leader in hospitality and luxury experiences, is seeking a detail-oriented Event Coordinator to manage and oversee weddings, social events, and corporate functions within Destination Kohler and Kohler Hospitality properties. The ideal candidate will have strong sales, event planning, and client relationship management skills to enhance guest experiences while driving revenue growth.
Guest Engagement & Event Planning
π Collaborate with clients to capture their vision and event objectives.
π Entertain and guide clients during site visits to showcase Kohlerβs event spaces.
π Serve as on-site contact for low and medium-profile events.
π Partner with corporate sales teams to maximize event bookings.
π Lead cross-functional teams to deliver Five-Star corporate and social events.
Revenue Growth & Sales Optimization
π° Promote high-margin programming and upsell clients on food, beverage, and activity selections.
π° Encourage guestroom upgrades and extended stays to maximize resort revenue.
π° Collaborate with the Kohler DΓ©cor & Design Team to enhance event aesthetics and branding.
π° Drive rebooking rates by ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction.
Event Coordination & Operations
π Attend weekly Banquet & Event Order (BEO) meetings to align scheduling and logistics.
π Develop detailed cost estimates and maintain up-to-date client revisions.
π Maintain a vendor resource library for third-party services and drive commissionable revenue.
π Conduct pre and post-conference meetings to analyze event profitability.
Administrative Responsibilities
π Generate proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs).
π Prepare printed materials such as menu cards, place cards, table numbers, and event signage.
π Oversee department reporting and meeting documentation.
π Provide billing follow-ups and account reconciliation.
β Education: High school diploma required; degree in Hospitality Management preferred.
β Experience: Minimum 1 year of hospitality experience (event planning/catering preferred).
β Software Skills: Proficiency in Windows, Word, and Amadeus is a plus.
β Work Mode: Onsite position requiring a high level of event coordination and client interaction.
β Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
