Description:

Duties

  • You will serve as the Navy Technical Representative (NTR) for preparation of the Explosive Safety Submission (ESS) for review and approval, and other projects involving Range Sustainment or "munitions and explosives of concern" issues.
  • You will coordinate with project teams, regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity (NOSSA) on explosive safety support.
  • You will deliver explosive safety support to Capital Improvements (CI), Asset Management (AM), Guam Project Management Office and other support lines.
  • You will coordinate with the command and regional representatives in planning to sustain and optimize range complex capabilities.
  • You will provide technical assistance to the Facilities Engineering Commands (FECs).
  • You will monitor technical interfaces with the contractor.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
