Day-to-Day Role:
- Participate in an education program of alternating work and study sessions, while attending an accredited college or university, and working towards a bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Receive various tasks and assignments in a structured, yet flexible work and training program within Engineering and possibly other engineering or manufacturing groups
- Perform non-complex detailed engineering drafting and design work on new or existing machinery using Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems
- Perform project work focusing on “hands on” involvement, such as in designing, ordering parts, fabricating, modifying, assembling, and testing prototype or production parts, machines, processes, and equipment
- Perform work associated with software development, testing, and documentation. Work with technicians and engineers on testing and troubleshooting hardware, network or server problems and documentation of the results
- Perform engineering calculations, write test reports, assemble technical manuals, and provide training and support to manufacturing facilities
- Travel to vendors and/or plants, to assist in evaluating parts or verifying equipment operations, and/or production facilities to help inspect, test, or install machinery
