The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Employment Recruiter. Under direction, this position will travel to recruitment functions, job fairs, and career days to promote employment with the Department. The position will provide professional human resources assistance to management staff in the recruitment of an adequate candidate pool and will network through industry contacts, social media, colleges and universities, other state agencies, and other entities. This position provides a great opportunity for an outgoing, enthusiastic individual who is interested in helping DCFS to ensure we have an excellent pool of strong candidates to fill the Department’s positions. Responsibilities

• Serves as Employment Recruiter, with a focus on recruitment activities in the Northern Region
• Provides input into the development of agency recruitment plans and materials.
• Prepares reports and correspondence related to interviewing and recruitment activities and issues.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college.

2. Requires one year of professional experience, preferably in human resources.
