Akkodis is looking for a Components Testing Design Engineer at the Grand Rapids, MI location. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support testing, debugging, and CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) bring-up. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electronics product/component testing, setup, and verification. This position requires strong technical knowledge of testing equipment, product documentation, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure project success. Here are the specs of the role:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Specify, design, test, and verify electronic products/components using product drawings, schematics, and component datasheets.
- Use digital multimeters (DMM), oscilloscopes, and other testing tools for product and component testing setups.
- Support requirements management throughout the product lifecycle to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Generate clear and complete documentation in line with industry standards and internal procedures.
- Collaborate within the Electronics sub-function to troubleshoot and problem-solve, delivering on project milestones.
- Assist in preparing for technical design and verification reviews.
- Identify and escalate technical risks and issues, providing analysis and supporting resolution efforts.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in design, circuit checkout, and product testing.
- Experience in producing conceptual electronic designs and knowledge of PCB design concepts.
- Solid understanding of digital and analog electronic design.
- Proficient in generating clear technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience with setting up and using curve tracker-type oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
