Description:
Member Duties : Recruit UW student volunteers to mentor in tribal and rural communities. This includes taking the lead role in hiring processes (application development, interviewing students, planning recruitment events, and responding to prospective mentors' questions). Manage a group of undergraduate interns to help recruit and promote mentoring opportunities through events and build community engagement on the UW campus. Collaborate with Assistant Director planning and organizing Riverways' Literacy Arts Alternative Spring Break program, where UW students facilitate writing and book making workshops at K-12 schools in rural communities in Washington. Provide ongoing support to mentors by sharing teaching resources, and responding to general questions
