Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the schedules and responsibilities of multiple independent contractors who provide services in various community and internal educational programs
- Facilitate letters of agreement and business office paperwork for all independent contractors
- Maintain departmental responsibilities (meetings, email, phone, etc.)
- Provide support to community outreach programs and service providers:
- K-12 Education Programs: Kids Create, Brave Books, Field Trips, education marketing, and curating K-12 web-based content
- Community programs: Poetry Out Loud, and Writing the Community
- Assists with establishing contact with appropriate community resources, including:
- Manage logistics of scheduling and communication with teachers, families, contractors and program participants
- Assist in continually monitoring programs, instructors, contractors, and volunteers for quality assurance and relevance to the state and national standards and best practices in youth development
- Assist in reviewing existing content, curriculum, strategies, and research/evaluation to make recommendations and implement approved modifications
- Connect and collaborate with the University of Arizona campus and community partners, including local and statewide school districts, Pima County, Cochise County, and Santa Cruz County libraries to develop community programs
- In collaboration with the Executive Director and the Education Programs Coordinator manage fundraising, development, budget, and fiscal responsibilities
- Work with the Executive Director and the Education Programs Coordinator to identify and secure grants and donations in support of programs
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires knowledge of industry practices and educational standards and techniques
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Requires ability to work independently as well as a part of the team
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma and 3 years of relevant work experience.
