Description:

The Division Vice President & CFO, West Division will ensure the Business Support Center (BSC) teams provide appropriate, responsive and cost-effective financial services to both internal and external customers through long-range strategic goal setting and day-to-day performance management of the organization with constant focus on continuous improvement.

Target Annual Salary $223,704 - $239,706

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Drive profitability improvement through collaborating with Division and Region leadership in developing strategies and action plans to improve margins, pricing, working capital, operating expense, and other drivers contributing to Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) and Operating Income.
  • Lead the development, preparation and timely delivery of accurate financial and operational management reporting and related analysis, providing leadership with a clear view of Division financial results and trends as compared to budget, forecast, and other key market data and operating metrics.
  • Interact with external auditors on accounting reviews, financial close process audit and internal control assessment. Instill financial disciplines within the Division which accurately capture ongoing activities and monitor Division/Region performance against plan.
  • Oversee integrity, accuracy, timeliness and conformity of information reported to internal and external customers.
  • Drive compliance with all Company financial policies/procedures and other matters related to compliance.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of internal accounting controls that are consistent with Company requirements.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit in conducting reviews of Division, Region and BSC operations.
  • Provide guidance in the evaluation and due diligence process for acquisition candidates and direct the acquisition integration process.
  • Hire, coach and train associates at all levels to provide a pool of talented management and subject matter experts for future leadership positions; conduct succession planning.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, foster associate involvement in continuous improvement efforts; pursue technology-enabled solutions for both internal operations as well as customer service.
  • Investigate methods of improving the capabilities of the Division BSC organization leading changes in structure, technology and process.
  • Build strong relationships with the Division and Region management teams collaborating effectively to drive sustained improvement in safety, financial and operating results.
  • Participate in national efforts to improve the efficiency and utilization of the various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, i.e. SAP, High Radius, OpenText, and PowerBI.
  • Provide conversion and update assistance where required.
  • Monitor current and progressive technology as it pertains to the business.
  • Collaborate with Corporate, as well as Division and operating company peers in understanding and sharing improvements that can bring benefit across the company.
  • Support cross-division improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor market developments, competition, ownership and/or personnel changes in industrial gas and industrial distribution competitors, suppliers and trade organizations.
