Description:
The Divisional Controller at Loy (Relevant Industrial, LLC) is responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s accounting operations. This role involves leading the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing financial support to Relevant corporate.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, in compliance with GAAP.
Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
Cash management: Oversee banking and cash management to ensure sufficient liquidity, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with financial policies while optimizing cash flow and minimizing risk.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
Audit Coordination: Provide support for the Relevant Industrial annual audit.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and procedures, driving efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management, supporting business decisions and strategic initiatives.
Policy Development: Develop and update accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and best practices across the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and senior management, to provide financial support and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is required.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior accounting or controllership role, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sectors. Experience with acquisition accounting and integrations desired.
Skills: Strong technical accounting skills, including expertise in GAAP or IFRS, internal controls, and financial reporting. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
