Director Of Revenue Cycle

Description:

The Director of Revenue Cycle oversees the daily operations of Revenue Cycle, including registration, coding, billing, account reconciliation, financial assistance, preauthorization, credit, and collections for a hospital and the outpatient clinics. Additionally, the Director will manage the Information Technology department, responsible for creating, processing, and maintaining patient records. This role reports to and collaborates closely with the CFO.

Position Requirements
 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, required.
• 2-5+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare finance and/or reimbursement
• Understanding of payer reimbursement methodologies for rural healthcare, Chargemaster and GAAP
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interpret complex data.
• Previous experience conducting periodic audits of patient accounts to ensure accurate billing, Information verification and correct application of payments, required.
• Recent experience with designing/managing payment plans, providing financial assistance to patients and write-offs of accounts, required.
• Successfully developed policies and procedures for the Revenue Cycle department and trainings for programs for the department staff, preferred.
