Description:
The Director of Product Marketing is tasked with spearheading the strategic positioning and definition of the product portfolio, specifically focusing on Peptistrong and Peptiyouth products. This pivotal role involves collaboration with customers, KOLs, and internal stakeholders to develop strategies guiding the development of new products. The Director will work closely with sales, inform product teams, and in some cases, co-own generation pipeline activities with the commercial teams. This role spans the full product lifecycle, from identifying market opportunities to supporting customer launches.
In collaboration with the R&D, product development, and commercial teams, as well as external marketing firms, the Director will execute product marketing projects showcasing the utility of peptides in strategic end-use markets. The successful candidate will co-lead portfolio positioning, messaging, and execute all aspects of the go-to-market strategy, eventually taking ownership of the product marketing function across the instrumentation portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic initiatives to enhance lead generation and promotional activities for current and new products.
- Provide marketing literature and competitive information to the sales force to boost sales effectiveness.
- Set meaningful objectives and metrics to manage and monitor the impact of marketing activities on business growth.
- Maintain accurate and current intelligence on competitors' marketing activities to develop effective strategies and keep product awareness ahead of the competition.
Responsibilities
Marketing:
- Lead and develop strategic marketing strategies for selected products, providing direction and leadership for biotechnology products, including PeptiStrongTM and PeptiYouthTM.
- Develop a global growth strategy through effective marketing plans, including lead generation strategies and initiatives for short- and long-term business growth. Develop objectives and metrics to monitor and measure the impact on business.
- Devise strategies and initiatives to drive and improve traffic to web product pages, developing objectives and metrics to monitor and measure the impact on business.
- Collaborate with Product Management to develop overall messaging and positioning strategies, technical specifications, and value propositions for existing and new products.
- Facilitate the convergence of functional and technical knowledge to guide/scout product requirements, ensuring the target solution meets customer requirements.
Leadership:
- Interact with customers, peers, co-workers, and the community with high ethics and business savvy. Motivate by example and provide encouragement as a steward of the management team.
- Distributors & Subsidiary:
- Coordinate marketing activities with Departmental Managers to increase sales in international and subsidiary markets.
Travel:
- Requires moderate domestic and international travel to customer sites and various meetings to identify new markets and applications.
Other:
- Proven management skills of human, financial, time, and other resources. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects. Enjoys and works well with other people in a team environment.
Other Key Requirements:
- Undergraduate Degree in Marketing/Business Masters.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record in launching products and rapidly growing awareness.
- Experience formulating and executing marketing campaigns for product commercialization, launch, and product life cycle development.
- Proven track record working extensively with different social media platforms, key journals, and other marketing channels, adapting rapidly to identify the best marketing channel for each product in each key market.
- Network of freelance writers, designers, and other skill sets that contribute to successful outreach.
- Minimum of 10 years working experience with the ability to scale – personally and for the company – for growth. Strong BtoB and DtoC experience is critical.
- Experience operating in a global environment is critical, with proven success in multi-geographic businesses. Candidates must possess agility and entrepreneurial traits to thrive in this role.
- Action-oriented, acting as a business-minded commercial leader capable of making decisions in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment.
