Vishay Dale is currently seeking a Full Time Director - Product Marketing responsible for directing the marketing function of a product group in Military marketing sectors. This position will establish key accounts, conduct market analysis and develop a market plan to maximize product group bookings, Will also assist in forecasting sales for product group and handle all activities with the various product group accounts to meet general and specific customer needs. Serve as liaison between the field and the factory for designated product group and develop sound knowledge of the designated market and supplies intelligence on items such as pricing, applications, new product development and product improvement.
How You’ll Help Us Build The DNA of Tech:
- Directs the total marketing function of a Company product group.
- Researches and studies market information concerning products and develops a written plan for purposes of building intelligence about competition.
- Makes recommendations to top management on activities necessary to maximize market penetration including new products to be developed, product areas to be dropped and pricing of current products.
- Directs Marcom in planning, preparation and use of advertising materials/Web-site/Press Releases/Technical articles for Military business.
- Visits Key customers to discuss business opportunities, problems, and continually strives to strengthen customer relationships.
- Develops a formal written marketing plan outlining an appropriate marketing strategy for successful selling of key accounts.
- Develops and maintains a centralized Marketing effort which presents new product development opportunities.
- Continuously maintains contact with the field sales force to train and motivate them in the sale of Company products.
- Responsible for meeting Variable Margin goals.
- Participates in major customer business negotiations (price, delivery, terms).
- Participates in forecasting and annual budgeting process for sales and orders. Sets and maintains pricing strategies.
Experience You’ll Need
- Bachelors degree in Engineering field preferred
- Over 7 years in Military markets and customer segments preferred
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of the Military industry.
- Direct supervisory responsibility over Marketing Department personnel.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access, Outlook, and mainframe systems a plus
