Description:
The Compensation and Equity Director will own the evaluation, continuous improvement, and implementation of our global compensation, equity, and benefits programs. As a hands-on and consultative leader reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, your focus on practical business partnership, evolving our rewards philosophy to align with our operating context as a high-growth, entrepreneurial organization will be critical for success. This role is your opportunity to build upon our established compensation and benefits frameworks to take our total rewards practice to the next level.
Specific Responsibilities
In this role, you will serve as a key business partner within the People Team and the broader organization, supporting AvePoint’s people strategy across multiple audiences and markets.
- Work collaboratively with leadership to gain trust and ensure alignment on total rewards philosophy, strategy and design (cash, equity and benefits)
- Lead ongoing research and compensation analysis to support business decision making to remain competitive in the market, and ensure AvePoint’s compensation programs are inclusive
- Partner with business leaders as the subject matter expert on compensation topics (e.g., grading, salary, bonus, equity, in particular for high growth companies, and sales incentives)
- Collaborate and consult with People Partners and Talent Partners on offers and promotions, and develop related policies and guidelines
- Partner with Finance to forecast multi-year financial models including annual merit, promotion, and SBC
- Drive employee communications to inform various reward values across offerings (cash, equity, benefits, perks, etc.) to attract, retain, and engage fellow AvePointers
- Manage, coach, and develop a compensation and benefits administrator on your team
- Own all rewards policies, procedures, and processes to support business growth
- Develop the annual calendar of core activities and lead the preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee as well as provide analysis for regulatory submissions (e.g., 10K).
- Ensure compliance with employment-related federal and state statutory requirements regarding employee pay and benefits; stay up-to-date on current compensation-related legislation
About You
- Experienced in leading compensation programs and equity plans in a public Technology company; experience with sales incentive compensation programs is a plus
- Experience with executive compensation and exposure to working with a Board, specifically the Compensation Committee, including the preparation of SEC filings
- A strong relationship builder and a natural collaborator
- An expert communicator who can build the bridge from a big-picture vision to a tactical plan that our employees understand
- A deep sense of personal responsibility, strong attention to detail and organization, and enjoy juggling many priorities at the same time
- The kind of person who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, as this is a leadership position but will still be involved in individual contributor work
