We are looking for a Director of Business Development for our Americas Region. This position will oversee our growing team of A&E, Strategic Account Managers, Community Relationship Managers, and Vertical Business Development Managers. As the Director of Busi-nessDevelopment, Americas, your role is central to driving growth and expanding Milestone's market presence in the region. You and your teams will deliver overall pipeline growth, empowering our sales teams and resellers to secure new business, while increasing existing project win rates.
The Director of Business Development will report to the VP for the Americas Region and will be a member of the Americas Leadership Team. The preferred location for this candidate would be Portland, OR but we are open to remote candidates located within the continental US.

Responsibilities
- Refine and drive Milestone’s business development strategy for the Americas region.
- Grow and maintain a successful business development team.
- Be the voice and face of Milestone in the vertical communities by assisting the team in presenting, evangelizing, and executing narratives that speak to Milestone’s ability to align and solve challenges within the different vertical segments.
- Develop and deliver effective narratives and joint-value propositions targeting specific vertical client challenges that have the highest impact.
- As a Milestone evangelist, you will own and drive regional commercial expansion and adoption strategies.
- In this role, you will understand the partner’s business priorities and map them to the benefits of the Milestone products and business model.
- You will be responsible for evangelizing to partners the “joint win(s)” identified and ultimately securing the partner’s commitment to promote and deploy the Milestone products.
- Drive business development and introduction of Milestone products in the marketplace (lead generation management)
- Coordinate the execution of the Go to Market strategy for Milestone products including training and partner readiness.
- Relationship management with Milestone partners and managers to establish commercial partnership success.
- Coordinate joint marketing opportunities with field organizations and partners in collaboration with Milestone Product and Regional Marketing.
- Coordinate, create, and execute the localization of GTM initiatives with Milestone internal stakeholders.
- Provide regular feedback on team performance, providing insights into the numbers and setting expectations for the forecast and future performance.
- Work closely with the Global Product team to help influence and shape the Milestone roadmap including products, services, and initiatives such as the Milestone distribution and partners programs and contracts.
- Global interaction on strategic or large project issues
- Participate in industry-relevant tradeshows and events to build and grow the business.
- Collect and share competitor market data.

- Identify potential areas for business expansion, new markets, partnerships, and strategic alliances that align with the company's corporate and regional goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential partners, customers, and key industry players to establish mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve regional revenue growth targets and long-term business goals.
- Work with the product and product marketing teams to align new products and features with emerging market opportunities and needs.
- Ensure Milestone is highly visible and represented in our growth markets.
- Oversee the business development budget and ensure resources are allocated efficiently to support strategic initiatives.
- Analyze risks and opportunities in the market and make recommendations to the internal leadership teams to help influence informed decisions.
- Provide relevant updates on business development activities, performance metrics, and market trends to the internal leadership teams.
- Lead and motivate the business development teams to achieve their goals while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the department.
