Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support business objectives, partnering with the Vice President of HR to identify and develop programs and initiatives for the organization and assigned geographies based on strategic direction or identified gaps.
  • Drive the development, execution and tracking of shoreside headcount including working to ensure that hiring stays within the budgets established as a part of the annual plan.
  • Oversee all aspects of employee on-boarding process from background checks to orientation, including preparation of new hire packages and documents in preparation for on-boarding process.
  • Lead the Talent Acquisition team in building the annual recruitment plan, including building hiring targets and comprehensive plan for meeting them and develop and implement innovative strategies to attract and retain top talent acting as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices in all aspects of talent acquisition.
  • Lead Learning and Development team and review current content for relevance and required execution. Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization. Ensure that all compliance training is executed both ship and shore.
  • Collaborate with corporate driven cross-functional teams across brands and departments focusing on technology, systems and developing progressive analytics and monitor HR metrics and analyze and interpret various types of employee reports to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to business partners and the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Lead a team dedicated to the day-to-day administration of a corporate driven employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other related benefits at a brand level.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to develop top business results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, or similar major, or equivalent experience in Human Resources or management.
  • Master’s degree a plus; PHR/SPHR a plus
  • 10+ years of broad and progressive HR leadership in a fast-paced and agile organization with broad exposure to all aspects of HR.
  • 3+ years’ experience at or above a Director-level Human Resources leadership role.
  • Past experience in the cruise or hospitality industry
  • Strong business acumen, and an in-depth understanding of the HR and financial implications of business decisions
  • Deep experience with developing talent and bench strength
  • Ability to lead and coach a team of talented HR professionals
  • Must have strong communication skills (verbal & written) with an ability to collaborate effectively within all levels in the organization
  • A team player and relationship builder, who works effectively with others to identify and resolve issues, across functions
  • Self-directed with an innate drive to succeed; confident and resilient; with a desire for continuous improvement.
  • Responds to changes, delays, or unexpected events in a positive manner; adapts working style to best fit a given situation.
