The Senior Director of Strategy defines, drives, and implements strategy and critical strategic initiatives for the Retail Licensed Brands business unit within EssilorLuxottica North America. Assesses strategic options, drives the organization’s short and long range planning, serves as a partner to the leadership team to identify, analyze, and solve business-critical problems, and leads/supports execution of selected strategic projects. These projects may include operational excellence, new business opportunities, growth initiatives, profitability drivers, consumer acquisition, digital commerce and other critical projects. Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Leads strategy and project management functions for Retail Licensed Brands (currently Target Optical and Pearle Vision) to ensure the effective analysis, planning, execution and results for projects supporting business strategy.
- Partners with senior leadership during the strategic planning and budget process to set strategic priorities, identifies and evaluates business opportunities, selects, and prioritizes projects in line with priorities.
- Manages a portfolio of key strategic projects, partly with direct project responsibility, partly as strategic partner and project management support to other senior executives.
- Utilizes data and research to identify, evaluate, and quantify business opportunities.
- Assess retail metrics and customer engagement indicators to drive revenue and profit opportunities.
- Identifies growth opportunities through analyzing industry trends, competitive landscape, and key industry players.
- Partner with the Business Development leader to develop investment business plans for strategic investment activity.
- Support the development of various areas of internal strategic growth, including but not limited to 3-year planning, assessing brand portfolio, and inclusion of new revenue streams that can lead to new paths of servicing the customer and increasing the organic sales growth.
- Drives definition of project scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Leads or supports delivery of project priorities, ensuring on time delivery of revenue growth, cost reduction and/or risk mitigation goals.
- Builds and motivates teams and fosters positive relationships.
- Develops and coaches team members to grow their soft skills, business functional depth and breadth, and industry acumen.
