Overview
The US Open Banking Partnership Sales team is looking for a Sales Director to help scale the distribution of Masteracrd’s Open Banking solutions. Our team is a highly strategic sales group focused on establishing channel partnerships primarily with financial platform providers across payments, BaaS, and LaaS. The team’s remit is to sign deals with these partners who then re-sell our open banking solutions within their platforms, in a wholesale-retail model. Open Banking is a fast-growing area of Mastercard's business and this team is a key driver of that growth!

Role
In this quota-carrying sales role, you will:

  • Own a quota comprised of revenue from an existing book of business and net new deals you bring in
  • Own the entire deal lifeycle, from qualification through to closure
  • Work with other Mastercard teams to source and win deals (e.g. Account teams, other product sales teams, etc.)
  • Work with Finance to build revenue models for each deal
  • Work with Product Delivery to ensure your clients are launched successfully
  • Represent Mastercard Open Banking at client and industry events

All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:

  • Multiple years of solution-based sales experience with quota responsibility (open banking sales experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of and experience in, payments technology and infrastructure, ideally with advanced knowledge of card and ACH schemes
  • Familiarity with open banking technologies and the associated use cases / value props
  • Comfortability presenting for and to C-Suite executives
  • An ability to navigate highly matrixed organizations both internally and externally
  • Ability to identify and sell in, to multiple stakeholders and buying centers at the partner organization
  • Ability to travel ad-hoc as needed (based on current company policies and procedures relating to company travel)
  • Intermediate experience with Salesforce
  • Intermediate experience with Excel and an ability to build revenue models and associated business cases for deal rationale/approval
  • Strong presentation skills both in-person and over virtual channels
