Description:
As Director, Risk Management Communications, you will be responsible for leading and implementing effective internal and external communications strategies for Risk Management Communications along with leading the Risk Management Communications team in Corporate Communications. You will be responsible for partnering with multiple stakeholders across the organization to ensure the delivery of strategic and integrated communications programs. Additionally, this role will be responsible for elevating the Chief Enterprise Risk Officer and the Chief Credit & Financial Risk Officer at Capital One through a proactive thought leadership strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as head of Risk Management Communications, developing and implementing an effective, comprehensive employee-facing communications strategy for the Chief Enterprise Risk Officer and the Chief Credit & Financial Risk Officer at Capital One
Serve as a strategic communications advisor to Risk Management executive leaders with the ability to flex between consulting for different executive leaders
Ensure that communications tell an articulate, consistent story about business priorities with a strong voice and in the right channels; inspire confidence in Risk’s leadership and business strategy; and help the business achieve their targeted results
Ensure all messaging and communications strategies are focused, accurate, and aligned within Risk Management
Effectively partner with Risk HR Consultants, Risk Chief of Staff offices, Risk executive team and other line of business communicators to ensure desired communications outcomes
Lead a data-driven approach to engage associates
Lead, manage and grow a team of communicators - both direct and indirect reports

Expert knowledge in the latest internal communications channels and how to best leverage for communications programs as part of the overall strategy
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 7 years of Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations experience
