Description:

 We are seeking a visionary and dynamic individual as the Director of Integrated Behavioral Health to lead our virtual, integrated behavioral health service line. The Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization by providing clinical leadership, strategic direction, and operational management to ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative behavioral health services as part of our virtual multispecialty practice. This role requires a unique blend of clinical expertise, leadership acumen, product and service development, and a passion for driving positive outcomes in virtual care through person-centered digital experiences. The successful candidate will thrive in an environment that values a bias for action, a focus on clinical excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. This role requires both administrative & leadership time along with direct patient care.


Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

Clinical Leadership and Team Management:

Provide clinical oversight, supervision, and leadership to a team of clinicians delivering integrated behavioral health care.
Oversee assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Partner with the Medical Director, Integrated Primary Care to foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous learning within the clinical team.
Mentor and develop clinical staff to enhance their skills and capabilities, particularly those unique to measurement-informed care and continuous improvement.
Partner with operations leadership to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent.
Manage and optimize the staffing model for efficient and effective service delivery.
Provide consultation and training to primary care team members to build toward more effective integrated care operations.
Build and activate referral pathways for both clinical and social supports as needed to ensure patient needs are being met.


Deliver Clinically Integrated Patient Care:

Conduct clinical intakes, individual therapy sessions, and group sessions.
Collaborate with primary care and care coordination teams to engage patients and drive improved outcomes.
Participate in integrated team meetings to review complex patient treatment planning. 


Data Driven Program and Quality Management:

Develop and monitor behavioral health programs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care.
Implement evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to improve service delivery.
Partner with CMIO and Operations leadership to build a comprehensive data reporting for individual provider performance, patient progress, population health outcomes, and program performance.
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness using data-driven approaches to make necessary adjustments and improve outcomes, with an eye on value-based care requirements.
Establish and monitor quality assurance processes, leveraging key performance indicators (KPIs), OKRs, and other metrics for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards, addressing any clinical or operational issues promptly.


Strategic Planning and Innovation:

Collaborate with fellow senior leadership members on strategic initiatives to advance our virtual multispecialty practice and serve as a patient’s digital health home.
Identify and implement opportunities for growth and innovation in virtual behavioral health and health promotion.
Partner with the CEO and Director of Marketing and Communications to promote and advance Ovatient’s integrated behavioral health agenda.


Product Development and Content Strategy:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on virtual care product development.
Provide clinical insights to inform product strategy and prioritization.
Ensure our virtual care solutions address and support the behavioral health needs of our patients as part of a whole-person model of care.
Partner with Product and our digital consumer experience partners to implement and improve a comprehensive patient content strategy for engagement and education.
Develop evidence-based content tailored to patient needs.
Leverage digital tools to deliver engaging and interactive patient experiences.


Requirements and Qualifications: 

Doctoral degree in Psychology (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) or related field.
Licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience in behavioral health care delivery, specifically within integrated care settings delivering health psychology-focused interventions. 
Ohio and South Carolina licensure required. PSYPACT is acceptable.
Proven track record of clinical leadership and management in a virtual care setting.
Have the ability to bill all payers, including Medicare and Medicaid plans.
Demonstrated ability to drive quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence.
Experience designing and executing pilots, testing hypotheses, and iterating based on data-driven insights.
Comfort with data analysis and proficiency in leveraging data to inform decision-making.
Strong understanding of product development processes and experience advising on digital health solutions.
Expertise in designing patient content strategies and creating or sourcing engaging educational materials.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
