Digital Ui/ux Experience Designer

Description:

The ideal candidate for the Digital UI/UX Experience Designer position should be able to demonstrate innovation and successful application of domain skills toward the creation, refinement, and execution of interface design in a production environment. Further, the candidate should be able to show the successful application of user experience best practices, demonstrating mindfulness of the target audience and platform goals. This should ideally include UI/UX design for customers who cannot focus exclusively on a single task, specifically from a military, medical, or other similarly resource-challenged environment. The candidate should be able to show concrete examples of their creative thinking process as well as utilization of advanced design skills to solve complex challenges. Past work should include examples of streamlining / simplification and user-focused interfaces (electronic and/or physical) that consider the entire user experience.

The BlueHalo Titan has been organically developed over several years into a cutting edge, software driven CUAS platform used by customers globally to meet diverse mission needs. The Digital UI/UX Experience Designer will incorporate a deep understanding of product capabilities and customer psychology, incorporating internal and external requirements while being mindful of Titan’s unique market space and reputation for customer-centric design. Keys to success in this role are interactively communicating concepts and prototypes, working closely alongside the software development team, and eliciting feedback from our customer success staff. Highly collaborative, the role requires flexibility and a willingness to accept input from these stakeholders to reach design goals through the effective use of style, typography, and visual cues. This position provides an opportunity to make a high-visibility contribution to a system that helps to ensure the safety of civilian and deployed personnel worldwide.

Primary responsibilities:

• Deep understanding of product capabilities and customer psychology, specifically characteristics and requirements of end users in Titan’s evolving customer base
• Present design ideas to elicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders
• Consider human-computer interaction (HCI) elements for resource-challenged customers
• Develop wireframes and prototypes based on specific requirements and use cases
• Produce conceptual mock-ups as needed; conduct usability testing and actively gather feedback
• Ensure consistency and quality for all deliverable materials, incorporating best practices for asset modularity, storage, and re-use
• Find creative methods to solve UX problems (usability, accessibility, situational awareness)
• Define the correct interaction model and evaluate its success
• Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends
• Safeguard BlueHalo/Titan Intellectual Property and assets

• The candidate should have 1-3 years of relevant experience, and be prepared to provide a project portfolio, either in person or online
• BA in UI/UX, Design, computer science, or a related discipline
• Must be a US Citizen with appropriate identification
