Description:
Apply the principles of mechanical engineering to develop solutions from concept through production to amaze our cart customers, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Interface with customers and sales personnel to develop project requirements
- Create sales drawings and presentations to communicate features to customers
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings for production
- Determine and optimize product costs for internal customers
- Evaluate current and legacy products for improvements in cost and performance
- Develop and execute testing plans to verify and validate product performance
- Perform continuous improvement activities to advance engineering processes and procedures
- Keeps leadership apprised of project statuses and any impediments, making recommendations for resolutions
Position allows occasional telecommuting within commuting distance of reporting office in Cannon Falls, Minnesota.
The position requires domestic travel 10% of the time, to visit customers and vendors.
Required Skills and Experience
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or foreign equivalent) and three years of experience in product design
- Must have at least 3 years of product design experience, including component modeling, testing and production support specifically involving sheet metal and tube design.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience with CAD systems, including Inventor, and Creo.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience with PLM, including Vault and Windchill.
