Description:
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring Design and Analysis Engineers to join the F-22 Raptor Mission Design and Analysis Team at Berkeley, MO or Richardson, TX. This team is responsible for developing cutting-edge engineering solutions for the F-22 Raptor, the world’s premier air superiority fighter.
As a Design and Analysis Engineer, you will contribute to enhancing existing field units with new capabilities and architecting and testing new mission systems. You will collaborate across engineering disciplines, suppliers, customer teams, and Lockheed Martin teammates to develop advanced avionics sub-systems and mission architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing agile requirements and critical customer delivery timelines.
- Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for F-22 avionics and weapons systems.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into system architecture, hardware/software designs, and interface specifications.
- Develop and execute verification procedures, ensuring designs meet requirements through rigorous testing.
- Review and validate test data, including off-nominal cases, before submission to the customer.
Work Schedule:
- 100% onsite role — Candidate must work onsite at Berkeley, MO or Richardson, TX.
Security Clearance:
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required (must have been active within the past 24 months).
- Must also be able to obtain F-22 Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to program access and export control regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, physics, chemistry, data science, or computer science.
- For Level 2: Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
- For Level 3: Minimum 5 years of related work experience with a Bachelor's OR 3 years with a Master’s OR PhD.
- Experience in avionics, electrical, or mission systems engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
