Deputy Director

 

Description:

The Deputy Director - Social Services Agency role is an executive management position, responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and administering effective and efficient operations and programs within the Social Services Agency. This position works closely with the Director of Social Services Agency to develop agency-wide policies and priorities and is responsible for overseeing various functions within the agency, including services, structures, controls, research, and reporting systems for the continuity and effective delivery of human services to the public.

 

Required Background and Experience:

A qualified candidate would typically possess education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in social work, social or behavioral science, or public or business administration and five to seven years of increasingly responsible professional experience in human services management, at least three years of which must have been in a department head position managing human services to the public within a large diverse program or public agency providing human services to the public.
